As the Principal of Frank Tillery Elementary, I am delighted to welcome you to our exceptional community of learners and educators. My name is Katie Mays, and here at Tillery, we pride ourselves on truly getting to know every student to ensure they are deeply engaged in their education. In collaboration with families and community partners, our dedicated staff is committed to making our school the best it can be.
Our primary mission is to cultivate the next generation of empowered, critical thinkers who are equipped to take ownership of their own learning. We strive to ensure that all Tillery Travelers are creative, caring, innovative, and involved as we trailblaze toward the future!
Our daily operations are guided by three core values:

Welcome Back, Travelers!
We are excited to welcome our students and families for the 2026-2027 school year! Below you'll find important dates, reminders, and resources to help your family prepare for a successful start to the school year.
Kindergarten Orientation
Monday, August 10, 2026
5:00–5:30 p.m.
Incoming kindergarten students and their families are invited to attend Kindergarten Orientation in the cafeteria. A separate kindergarten letter will be mailed with additional information.
Meet the Teacher
Monday, August 10, 2026
5:30–6:30 p.m.
Students and families are invited to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and prepare for the first day of school. Please be prepared to share your child's transportation information so we can ensure a smooth dismissal on the first day.
Class lists will be posted at 9:00 a.m. on August 10.

School supply lists are available in English and Spanish by grade level below.

With ParentSquare, families can:
- Receive school announcements and reminders
- Communicate with teachers and staff
- View classroom updates and photos
- Sign up for conferences and events
- Complete forms and permission slips
- Receive school and emergency notifications
For additional school news, celebrations, and highlights, follow Tillery Elementary on Facebook.
Families who may qualify for meal assistance should complete a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application.
Meal benefits do not automatically carry over from year to year. Applications must be completed annually to determine eligibility.
Starting July 1, applications may be submitted online or completed in person during Meet Your Teacher Night.
